Varo String Quartet @ Rosehill Cemetery

Varo String Quartet presents their fourth multi-genre concert at May Chapel in Rosehill Cemetery. Varo String Quartet returns to the May Chapel to present their fourth annual concert at historic Rosehill Cemetery with a program of atmospheric and eclectic music perfect for a spooky night out. Known for their penchant for usual venues and surprising and thought-provoking programs, VSQ's 2026 Cemetery Concert will feature Janacek's Quartet No. 1 "Kreutzer Sonata," Anna Thorvaldsdottir's Rituals, and Phillip Glass's Quartet No. 9 "King Lear." United by themes of literature and storytelling, change through repetition, and the transportive capacity of the string quartet, these three pieces are also examples of each composer's unique voice. Exploring what connects and distinguishes these voices, Varo String Quartet will take their audience on a wild ride through sound and story - a wild ride well tailored to connoisseurs of music, magic, and the macabre.
