Gaining Perspective: An Art / Architecture Walk Through West Town Join Monique Meloche Gallery and Walking Chicago for a walking tour asking: "What can be discovered when one questions what they think they know?" This tour kick off with "Gaining Perspective", an exhibition by internationally acclaimed artist duo Arocha-Schraenen that invites us to shift our viewpoints, look closer, and reconsider what might be hiding in plain sight. Then, step into the streets of West Town on a walk guided by an artist/urban planner, exploring the neighborhood’s architecture, histories, and evolving urban landscape, considering how the places around us are shaped by the past, transformed in the present, and imagined for the future. From gallery to sidewalk, this experience challenges you to see familiar spaces with new eyes and discover how much more there is to a city when you take the time to gain a new perspective.
