Whispers of the Waterways: A Spooky Maritime RPG Night

Chicago’s waterways hold stories that refuse to stay buried in this in-person spooky maritime RPG night. Join us at the Chicago Maritime Museum for an in-person spooky maritime tabletop roleplaying night for adults ages 18+. Chicago’s waterways are full of stories—some refuse to stay buried. In this three-hour adventure, explore eerie encounters, forgotten histories, and mysteries inspired by Chicago’s rivers, lakefront, shipwrecks, Great Lakes, maritime history, and folklore. Guided by an experienced Game Master, players work together to investigate strange happenings, make decisions, and shape a story that unfolds differently each time. What to Expect • Multiple tables and tabletop roleplaying game systems, each led by an experienced Game Master. • A distinctive museum setting surrounded by maritime exhibits and artifacts. • No tabletop RPG experience required—new players are welcome. Event Details • Date: Saturday, November 7, 2026 • Time: 6:00–9:00 PM • Location: Chicago Maritime Museum, Bridgeport Art Center, 1200 W. 35th St., Chicago • Audience: Ages 18+ Seating is limited; advance registration is encouraged. Also Happening: Whispers of the Waterways by Day Visit the museum from 12:00–4:00 PM for drop-in educational games and activities. Pick up an Investigator’s Passport, explore the galleries, complete activities, and collect stamps. Daytime activities are all ages and included with regular museum admission.
