Biting Happens: What to Do When Toddlers Bite Biting is one of the hardest behaviors to face in an infant or toddler room. It hurts, it upsets families, and it can make a good teacher doubt herself. This training gives you a clear way to handle it. You will learn why young children bite, what to do in the moment, how to help the child who was bitten and the child who bit, and how to talk with both families afterward. You will leave with strategies you can use in your classroom on Monday. Who it's for: Child care teachers and directors, especially those working with infants and toddlers. Directors are welcome; the session includes guidance on writing a biting policy for your center. What you get: 3 clock hours, instructor-led, in the guidance and discipline area.
