A community-centered Policy Lab bringing Black disabled students, families, educators, and advocates together to shape more equitable future Black Disability Policy Lab at North Carolina A&T State University The Black Disability Policy Lab at North Carolina A&T State University brings together Black disabled students, families, educators, advocates, researchers, and community members to build knowledge, strengthen connections, and reimagine education policy and practice. Taking place during Education Week on November 20–21, the Policy Lab will center lived experience, community knowledge, and collective dialogue to explore pathways toward more equitable and inclusive educational systems. ONE TICKET = ACCESS TO BOTH DAYS Your registration includes access to the full two-day Policy Lab. You only need to register once, no separate ticket is required for each day. Friday, Nov. 20 | 2:00–5:00 PM Framing session to set the stage and engage participants on policy questions ahead of the main day. Saturday, Nov. 21 | 10:00 AM–3:00 PM Full working session focused on dialogue, collaboration, and developing ideas for action. Optional Demographic Questions Before completing your event registration, you will be asked to answer a few optional demographic questions. Why We Ask These Questions: The Black Disability Policy Lab is dedicated to making sure our work truly represents the communities most impacted by educational inequities. The information you share helps us better understand who is involved, identify areas where we can improve our outreach, and ensure we are reaching a diverse group of Black disabled students, families, educators, advocates, and community members. Your responses also support us in shaping future programs, research, and policy recommendations that are informed by the experiences and priorities of the communities we serve. Your privacy is important to us. Responses will be kept confidential and reported only in aggregate whenever possible. Your responses will not affect your eligibility to participate in the Black Disability Policy Lab, and you may skip any question you do not wish to answer.
