Fall into Gardening Event

Free Fall Gardening Event in Greensboro, NC! Get expert garden tips, hands-on activities, fall planting ideas, a garden tour & family fun! The Guilford County Extension Master Gardener℠ volunteers invite you to join them for Fall into Gardening! Saturday, October 10th, from 9:00am - 12:00pm 3309 Burlington Rd., Greensboro, NC In the auditorium (Building entrance is by the flagpole) This is a free and fun event for the whole family! There will be many different stations set up to learn all about keeping your garden going through the fall and winter as well as getting prepared for spring. During your visit, join a guided tour of our Demonstration Garden featuring 18 individual themed gardens! Stations for youth and adults include: • Bring a gardening hand tool to get cleaned and/or sharpened • Ask a landscape designer- Have a Problem Spot? Bring us a photo of the area and we'll give you a design idea or plant suggestion • Learn all about different kinds of mulch • Winter sowing • Spotted Lanternfly and other garden pests information • Learn how to set up a raised bed • Composting • Vermicomposting • Bulbs • Fall and Winter Vegetables • Houseplant propagation and care • Lawn information • Youth Activities • Bring your gardening questions to our "Ask" Booth • Free popcorn We will also be offering guided tours of our Demonstration Gardens at 9:30, 10:30, and 11:30! This event is free to attend and participate in.
