Cyanotype Workshop with Matthew Leifheit

Family Workshop series invites families to take part in an all-ages workshop led by our staff, our Artists-in-Residence, or a guest artist. Former Watermill artist-in-residence and featured artist in The Disappearance of Landscape: Oakleyville, Matthew Leifheit introduces participants to the cyanotype process—a hands-on, art and science workshop where kids use sunlight, water, and special paper to create striking blue-and-white shadow prints. Using plants and natural materials gathered from The Watermill Center’s grounds, participants will create their own unique blueprints.
