Voices is a free talk series serving to engage, enrich, bring together, and give voice to all segments of the community. The Shinnecock Kelp Farmers, important East End resource, are a group of Shinnecock women whose generations-old farming practice has helped to clean and rebalance the waters of Shinnecock Bay. Join Rebecca Genia and Donna Collins- Smith as they discuss how kelp is grown and harvested, and how this ancient skill can help remove carbon mand nitrogen from Long Island’s polluted waterways.
