Come watch art get BIG at East End Arts’ 1st Annual Steamroller Printmaking Event! We’re bringing the excitement of large-scale printmaking outdoors, where artists will create giant woodblocks and then use an actual steamroller to press their designs onto paper. Yes—a steamroller! It’s a fun, unusual, and fascinating way to experience the printmaking process up close. Artists will ink their oversized blocks, carefully position large sheets of paper, and then the steamroller will slowly roll right over them, creating bold, one-of-a-kind prints. You’ll get to see the entire process happen right in front of you, from the first roll of ink to the big reveal when the paper is lifted and the finished print is unveiled. The event is FREE and open to the public! Come by, watch the artists at work, see the steamroller in action, and enjoy a day celebrating creativity and community. Whether you’re an artist, a printmaking enthusiast, or you’ve never seen a steamroller make a piece of art before, there’s something exciting about watching these giant prints come to life. Come see art made in a BIG way!
