Trade the Monday rush for a mindful walk through Lyon Arboretum. Disconnect from your phone and reconnect with nature. What better way to begin your week than by slowing down and stepping into nature? Leave your phone in the car and join us for a mindful walk through the beautiful trails of Lyon Arboretum. Rather than viewing the forest through a camera lens, you'll be invited to experience it with your own senses—taking in the sights, sounds, scents, textures, and beauty of the living landscape around you. This guided nature bathing experience (also known as shinrin-yoku, or forest bathing) is not a hike or fitness activity. Instead, it is an opportunity to be fully present, slow your pace, and cultivate a deeper awareness of yourself and the natural world. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by the start of the week or simply looking for a peaceful way to reconnect with nature, this experience offers a welcoming space to pause, breathe, and be. Location On the grounds of Lyon Arboretum Supplies/What to Wear • Water Bottle • Rain Jacket or Poncho • Mosquito repellent, Sunscreen • Wear covered shoes - Hiking shoes recommended, sneakers are ok, Crocs are NOT recommended. • Comfortable clothing About the Instructor Hi, I’m Mary, born and raised on Oʻahu. I discovered shinrin-yoku (forest bathing) through a book that deeply resonated with my love of nature, and was inspired to weave it into my work at Dahlia Wellness & Massage Therapy. I’ve seen how supportive and motivating it can be to experience practices like this in a group, and I’m honored to guide you into a calmer, more connected relationship with the land.
