Using real-world emergency scenarios, we'll explore the basics of radio communications, practical tools like walkie-talkies, Meshtastic, and amateur (ham) radio, and how households and neighborhoods can prepare together. We'll also introduce local emergency communications resources, including the Huntsville Amateur Radio Club (HARC), ARES, and CERT, with opportunities for demonstrations, questions, and learning how to get involved.
