The Diabetes Exit Launch

I finished my training knowing. I opened my practice knowing. And for the better part of twenty years I sat across from thousands of patients, talked with them about their blood sugar, their medications, their futures — and never once told them I had what they had. I was afraid of what they'd think of a doctor who couldn't do what he was asking them to do. So I hid. I'm not hiding anymore. I found the exit for myself, and I wrote down how.
