Super Secret Magick Club presents: Witch School: Fall Edition One of our missions at Super Secret Magick Club is to weave in the sacred, beautiful, and magickal into the everyday. There is so much we can do in our everyday to weave in practices that enliven and embolden us. Things that improve mental well being, physical health, spiritual learning, and personal bounderies. This is a whole day of learning, or deepening practices that do just that! Classes of the day are all centered abound where we are on the wheel of the year, Fall’s element of the West, Water. We will focus on getting through the rest of the year with health, wellness, vitality and abundance. All with our boundaries tight, and our energy protected. I will share knowledge, techniques, practices and recipes from my 40 years as a practicing witch, and will pull from the many traditions I have studied. All classes can be done, regardless of knowledge or skill level, as I will instruct, and guide you throughout the day. The space we create will be fun, supportive, informative and you will never be made to feel like you “should have known that already “ nor will you regret coming even if you’re a long practicing witch or herbalist. I guarantee everyone will learn and grow into a new skill or two, and there is an opportunity to learn a ton. The classes planned for the day are Water Witch: work with water spirits, intention and the elixer of life. Sacred Smoke and Sound- clearing away stagnant energy, negativity and blocks Teas and Tinctures-herbalism with focus-research and formulate the blends you need now Fire Ciders and health tonics- Learn the history, basics and recipes to create them, as well as an intro to Food Magick and Stacking Functions Salt and Vinegar- the kitchen Witches guide to cleansing, clearing and drawing boundaries The cost includes light refreshments, salads fruit, treats and teas to drink throughout the day- Plus a fully outfitted kit. This kit is filled with some important witchy must haves, and you will have access to all the herbs, flowers, resins, menstrums (liquids) bottles, tins, jars, and ingredients to leave with the following finished items- -Two 16 ounce fire cider blends -Immunity tea blends -An immunity tincture formulated for your needs -A garlic honey (for sore throats and coughs) -A sacred smoke blend to cleanse energetically -A small bell for sound clearing -A botanical cleansing wand -A Home Cleansing blend (16 ounce) with a spray bottle -Salt blend for your homes boundaries(or a cleansing bath ritual blend -A Water Medicine Blend and new knowledge to keep up this beautiful addition to every day -A glass for your Water Magick -A book of shadows & grimoire (that’s spiral bound- easy to open and leave open as you’re working and taking notes and that you’ll use throughout the day -Selenite Wand -Silk Altar Cloth A keepsake box And more. The most important part in my opinion is the hands on experience, with an opportunity to ask questions and learn so you can continue these practices on your own. $250 is the cost of this incredible Magick Day Which includes all fees and the 8 hour day: -20 plus piece kit ($100 kit fee included in price) -All supplies-herbs, honey, menstrums, ect ($50 supply fee) -Class Instruction of 7+ hours ( $150) -More than a dozen finished products to take home -All the knowledge to continue to make these products, and suggestions for how to expand your knowledge and deepen your practice -A variety of teas to drink throughout the day -Art supplies for you to use for your Book of Shadows and other projects (space Clearing Bell and Water Vessel, ect. ) Notes for the Day: We have a “take breaks as you need them”policy- Plus we have 1/2 hour lunch and two breaks to enjoy provided delicious lunch, and snacks. We will offer an assortment of foods including, Gluten Free, Vegan, Vegetarian options, and extras to add in for those with less restrictions. ARRIVAL TIMES and expectations: There is a lot to cover, so We ask that you come with an open mind and heart ready to settle in between 1130am-12pm. Those wishing to shop our Apothecary and treasures may arrive between 11am- 12pm, with the knowledge that I will be preparing teas, setting our snacks, ect., but you will be able to shop, look around, peruse some Herbal reference books, settle in, recieve your kit, and even begin to decorate and bond with your book:) If you can register at $250, go ahead and do so here, and I will cover the fees and taxes. This class is a heartfelt creation that has a lot of value. I always feel challenged to price my offerings, because I have been on both sides of the tracks, so to speak. I have been friends with those who live in multi-million dollar mansions, while at the time I could barely afford food for my family. Therefore, I have adopted the following outlook : Sacred Commerce, to me is a form of energy exchange where there is mutual respect and appreciation, and a fair exchange of energy. Money is energy, as is goods, services, work and trade. Barter and the gift economy has been pushed far from the norm, but I intend to keep Sacred Commerce centered in my practice. Therefore I will say the cost of the supplies is around $150. The kit is approximately $100, and the cost of supplies such as herbs, menstums (liquids*), raw organic honey, and all of the organic produce (roots, tubers, chilis, fruits, alliums ect) we will use for the Fire Cider and Vinegar ect. I am also considering the cost of refreshments, the foods and teas, as important components to the learning, as we will be Learning about what I consider Food Magick and the idea of stacking functions as part of the lessons. We all know that lunch and drinks when we are at a fair or festival are easily $25-$50. If you are wondering why I include the extras, rather than asking everyone to bring their own, I also want y'all to feel safe, happy, content and cared for, and able to just show up, be present and learn deeply, rather than being scattered and stressed, and giving is one of my love languages. My preference is, of course, to make doing this work sustainable. I feel is so important, especially as things become more unstable and uncertain in the world- I want to make sharing my skills a gift that ripples out and uplifts those who are need it most. We are all more stable and able when we become less reliant upon the systems who do not consider us, our needs, or our welfare at all. Why Do I believe in Sacred Commerce and alternative economy? I realize that we are all stuck trying to function the best we can in a capitalist framework. I have been someone, who at times, try as I wanted to, could not have payed the full $250 in cash, but I always worked with my teachers, and contributed at least as much in value, and we all felt good about it. As with the starving artist archetype, there is this same wounded healer version, who may overgive, and not be able to do so sustainabley. This was me for many years.
