Prenatal Class: Week 3

Get ready for a fun and informative event where you'll learn all about what to expect during pregnancy and beyond! Preparing for your baby’s arrival means knowing what to expect during those important first days of life. During Week 3 of our Prenatal Class, participants learned valuable information to help them feel informed, prepared, and confident as they prepare to care for their newborn. Topics included: Newborn Anticipatory Guidance – Learning about newborn screening tests in the hospital, feeding schedules, temperature changes, normal weight loss, and jaundice. Newborn Medications – Discussing what medications newborns may or may not receive after birth. Newborn Preventive Care – Learning about vitamin K, erythromycin, and the Hepatitis B vaccine.
