A free 3-day workshop exploring purpose through reflection, storytelling, and honest conversation. Oct 23–25. Kansas City Purpose Project: Free 3-Day Self-Discovery Workshop Three days that could change how you understand yourself, your life, and what matters most to you. FREE | October 23–25 | Shawnee & Roeland Park, KS Small group · Application required · Full attendance required Important: Registering on Eventbrite does not guarantee admission. To be considered for participation, please complete the short application at https://bryanhong.me/apply. When was the last time you really stopped to reflect on your life? How did you become the person you are today? What experiences shaped you? What matters most to you now? And what do you want the next chapter of your life to look like? The Kansas City Purpose Project is a free, three-day workshop offering a rare opportunity to step away from everyday responsibilities and explore these questions with a small group of people. This isn't a lecture or a typical networking event. It's an immersive, highly interactive experience built around guided reflection, personal storytelling, and honest conversations. Throughout the weekend, you'll explore the experiences and turning points that have shaped your life, share your story with others, and hear theirs. Along the way, you may discover things about yourself that you've never fully recognized before—and form surprisingly close connections with people you've only just met. This is not therapy or a retreat; it’s a structured workshop built around reflection and conversation. What You'll Experience • Understand yourself in a new way. Reflect on your life experiences, important relationships, defining moments, and the choices that brought you here. • Share your story. Prepare and deliver a short talk about your personal and professional journey, in a supportive environment. • Learn from others. Hear the stories of people from different backgrounds and discover common ground. • Explore what matters most. Examine your values, motivations, and what you want from the next chapter of your life. You don't need to have your life figured out—or even know exactly what you're looking for. Just bring curiosity, openness, and a willingness to participate. Who's Leading the Workshop? Bryan Hong, PhD is an educator and facilitator who has taught at Wharton, NYU, and Ivey Business School. He has designed and led interactive workshops on purpose, self-reflection, and interpersonal learning, with training in experiential group facilitation through the NTL Institute. He is also author of the book Evolution to Purpose: Choosing a Life of Authenticity with Work. He created the Kansas City Purpose Project to give people from different backgrounds an opportunity to explore their own lives while learning from one another.
