Welcome to the Arts for the Soul Music & Fine Arts Series in the beautiful First Presbyterian Church, located in the historic downtown and Capitol area of Lincoln. We offer meaningful, inspiring, and affordable music and fine arts events to our community and the region. 2026-2027 Seasons Events -- 20th Anniversary Season Sing from the Heart Sat., February 27, 2027 - 7:00 p.m. Featuring the First Presbyterian Choir with special guest Matt Mason, former Nebraska State Poet Charity Fundraiser for “Sleep in Heavenly Peace” “Through the Eyes of a Child” Music by the FPC Choir and poetry by Matt Mason will entertain and uplift your spirit, and we will also learn about and get a chance to support “Sleep In Heavenly Peace.” That sentiment is at the heart of our “Sing from the Heart” concert & charity fundraiser. Music by the FPC Choir and poetry by Matt Mason will entertain and uplift your spirit, and we will also learn about and get a chance to support “Sleep In Heavenly Peace.” Your $5 ticket includes fabulous desserts! The mission of “Sleep in Heavenly Peace” is “No kid sleeps on the floor in our town!” They are an organization that builds and delivers beds to children in need of a warm bed and a safe place to sleep. Matt Mason served as the Nebraska State Poet from 2019-2024 and has run poetry workshops in Botswana, Romania, Nepal, and Belarus for the U.S. State Department. He runs the nonprofit Poetry Forward and is working to make his living as a poet and speaker. Matt's 6th book, Roads , was released by Button Poetry in 2026. Find more at: https://matt.midverse.com/
