Fascinating and evocative, Countertenor provides a striking look at creativity, innovation, gender, sexuality, art, and subverting societal norms. Dive into one of the world’s most ethereal singing voices and Costanzo’s inventive, irrepressible life, including a performance by the Grammy Award-winning singer himself. “In the great age of countertenors, the idea of opera was being reset every two weeks, and they were at the absolute center of these innovations … Anthony is in some ways a reincarnation of this. He exists to transform the art form.” —Peter Sellars Special thanks to our sponsors ALOUD is made possible thanks to support from: Judith and Steve Krantz Foundation, Hearst Foundations, Humanities Endowment Fund, Gregory Peck Literacy Endowment, Ralph M.
