Ornaments, Coasters, Little Dishes (2-4)

Make several ornaments, coasters or multi-purpose dishes (great stocking stuffers) in a fun, supportive environment. Beginner friendly! All materials are included in this small, hands-on workshop taught by mosaic artist Vicky Foxworth in her Culver City/Ladera Heights studio (Foxworthstudio.com). Class size is limited to eight. You will learn design and assembly step-by-step, and come away with two to four unique ornaments or 4.5-inch little dishes to hold jewelery, keys, meds, or any small items. You'll make your pieces before lunch and grout after lunch. (You'll bring lunch and we'll eat together in a lovely courtyard). These art pieces are perfect stocking stuffers. They are also great for Secret Santa or other gift exchanges, hostess gifts, and thank yous! The workshop is a 1-day intensive (6.5 hours), and 1 ticket includes ALL supplies. Sunday, December 13, 10:00am to 4:30pm Vicky's covered, open-air studio is well-stocked with with a variety of fun and interesting materials, including recyled ceramics, glass, tiles, figurines and jewelry. All materials are provided, but if you have small porcelain, glass, tile, resin or jewelry pieces you'd like to bring, we can try to incorporate them into your design! Come mosaic with us! Cancellations: Refund requests are reviewed manually. Cancellations made more than 7 days before Aug 23 may be eligible for full or partial refund. Cancellations within 7 days of the event are not eligible, as spots are limited and cannot be easily refilled. The Instructor: Vicky Foxworth is a lifelong artist with more than 13 years of experience creating mosaics. Her love for creating art was inspired by a whimsical English aunt and an Aussie boyfriend artist she met at Ayers Rock in her early 20s. It is her joy to provoke wonder in large and small pieces alike, and to share that passion for creative expression. Vicky has learned techniques and approaches through multiple workshops, partnering with other mosaic artists, and of course, experimentation. She has a passion for telling stories through mosaic art. For her varied commissions she practices deep listening to learn the stories of others, which she translates into customized art pieces (Foxworthstudio.com).
