Using the Sgraffito technique, carve your own calavera candle lantern. Beginners welcomed. Available in Spanish and English. During this 2-hour pottery workshop you will learn how to carve and engrave your own Dia de los Muertos calavera using the Sgraffito method. A hand-made calavera will be provided for you to carve and engrave with your own design. Full instruction, materials, and tools are provided. The workshop starts with a group reflection on Dia de los Muertos and guidance on how to design and Sgraffito your own calavera. No prior experience is necessary. ____ About ClayQueeries: ClayQueeries by Aram is a mediation on color, form, and function. Aram is a Queer American born in Mexico passionate about pottery, teaching, and brining the transformative qualities of the medium to new audiences. Aram is a fluent Spanish and English speaker.
