Kick off the evening with a golden hour happy hour overlooking the Pacific, then head into the stunning Grand Hall for a spooky comedy club! 🎃 SUNSET COMEDY: HALLOWEEN AT THE REDONDO BEACH HISTORIC LIBRARY 👻🌅 Sean Leary, Holly Dana Real Estate & The Redondo Beach Historic Library Present... Sunset Comedy: Halloween at the Redondo Beach Historic Library — a special Halloween edition of one of the South Bay's most unique live comedy experiences. This October, we're taking over the Historic Library for a night of sunset views, cocktails, costumes, a Halloween costume contest, and an incredible live comedy show inside the Grand Hall. Thursday, October 29th Costumes are encouraged, but absolutely not required! 🎃 THE HALLOWEEN EXPERIENCE Start your night with a Halloween cocktail hour as the sun sets over the Pacific. Grab a drink, hang outside on the West Lawn, take in golden hour, show off your costume, snap some photos, and enjoy one of the best sunset views in Southern California before heading inside the Historic Library. Then we're turning the Grand Hall into a full-blown comedy club for the night. SUNSET 🌅 + COCKTAILS 🍸 + COSTUMES 🎃 + COMEDY 😂 🏆 HALLOWEEN COSTUME CONTEST Come dressed to impress! We'll be holding a Halloween Costume Contest during the evening with prizes for our favorite costumes. Go big. Get weird. Get creative. Costumes are encouraged, but not required to attend. 🎤 THE SHOW At 7:00pm, we bring you a stacked lineup of comedians you've seen on Netflix, HBO, Comedy Central and more for a high-energy, 90-minute live comedy show inside the gorgeous Grand Hall. 🎤 THE LINEUP: Chris Martin (The Late Late Show) Chris Martin is “one of the UK’s best young observationalists” according to The Guardian. His Edinburgh Comedy Festival shows have sold out and had extra dates added on multiple occasions. As well as touring the U.K. he’s been invited to tour Australia and New Zealand several times. His credits include I Think You Should Leave (Netflix), Live at The Comedy Store (Comedy Central), Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled, and ITVs Horrible Science. The British Podcast Awards awarded his podcast Babysitting Trevor the silver for the Best Comedy Podcast. His Chris and Carl Podcast was the first international podcast to be part of Bill Burr’s All Things Comedy Network. Expect another stacked lineup of nationally touring comedians and special guests from Netflix, HBO, Comedy Central and more. Janesh Rahlan (Funny AF) Based in Los Angeles, Janesh was recently featured in Netflix “Funny AF” with Kevin Hart. He is a regular at Hollywood Improv and Comedy & Magic. His comedy touches upon his immigrant upbringing and aggressively millennial persona. He’s also appeared in a Super Bowl commercial and regularly does shows for companies and private parties. From beach houses and backyards to historic landmarks, vineyards, gyms and golf courses, Sean has built a national following by transforming unconventional spaces into unforgettable comedy events. He is the creator and host of The Buddy Cop Podcast, the sold-out Chips & Bits Comedy Golf Tournament series, Malibu Comedy Night, Beach House Comedy Club, and Sunset Comedy at the Redondo Beach Historic Library — each blending high-energy stand-up with community, creativity and a touch of chaos. Sean recently filmed an episode of Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen for CBS and Paramount+, adding to a resume that includes appearances on Fox's Laughs, Hulu, Fusion, SiriusXM Comedy Radio and Yahoo Sports: Comedians Against the Spread. Following an extensive renovation and reopening in summer 2026, Sunset Comedy gives guests the opportunity to experience this incredible building in an entirely different way — beginning outside with sunset cocktails and ending inside with a packed live comedy show in the Grand Hall.
