Holiday Cookie Bonanza : Intermediate baking class

A MEGA baking adventure! Learn to make FOUR holiday cookie recipes perfect for cookie swaps, gifts, and more! ~ ~ ~ Note: this class is offered multiple times, so check the date before booking; THIS is the Saturday session! ~ ~ ~ Holy jingle bells, it's a super fantastic mega bonanza of cookies! In this all-day cookie "bootcamp", you'll prepare FOUR different cookie recipes from start to finish... and leave with armloads of cookies to share with friends, family, and coworkers! What types of cookies are we baking? The Cookie Bonanza lineup is always a surprise, but there will be something chocolatey, something nutty, something crunchy, something soft... we're doing 4 very different cookies! (Any cookies in photos are from past Cookie Bonanzas, not necessarily the cookies we're making this year!) In this class, you'll • Practice four different cookie styles-- we'll cover a range of flavors, textures, and methods! • Bake a cookie assortment that includes a variety of textures & flavors • Discuss how to plan & execute a BIG cookie baking project, how to prep, and how to store your cookies • Learn lots of baking tips you can apply to other recipes • Learn about the ingredients, flavors, and more • How to taste food like a professional... the difference between tasting and eating! • Spend a day baking with and learning alongside the most fun folks (seriously, cookie bonanza people are the BEST people!) • Take home LOADS of ready-to-eat cookies you made yourself... AND some "take & bake" cookie dough to bake later! PLEASE READ BEFORE REGISTERING: This class is different from most other Homemade classes! • Intermediate level: Class moves at a zippy pace with a lot of time targets. Students should already know how to operate a stand mixer and measure with a scale (weight/grams). • Adults only please (age 15+). • Lunch break partway through class (about 30 min)-- we'll provide some snacks (ie: chicken salad, pimento cheese, etc), but recommend that you "brown bag" to supplement (we have a fridge you're welcome to stash it in) • Some recipes/ tasks will be completed "solo" at your own worktable; others will involve collaborating with fellow students. • Our team will handle the bulk of cleanup, but students should expect to assist with some tidying between recipes.
