Full description from organizer

This International Human Rights Day, join Milwaukee neighbors for art and conversation on housing, dignity, and belonging. Housing is a human right. Yet access to safe, stable, and affordable housing remains a challenge for too many people in our community. Art creates space to share lived experiences, explore the systemic barriers and inequities that shape access to housing, and imagine a more just and equitable future. Join neighbors from across Milwaukee this International Human Rights Day for a creative gathering focused on housing, dignity, and belonging. We'll use art and conversation to explore what it takes to build a community where everyone has a place to call home. What to Expect: • Create together: Contribute to a collaborative community artwork led by a local artist. • Make something to take home: Participate in a hands-on art activity for all ages and abilities. • Learn and connect: Explore housing and human rights through art and conversation. Visit community resource tables to learn about local housing services, information, and support. • Build community: Meet neighbors, share experiences, and explore what a more inclusive Milwaukee could look like. • Enjoy brunch: Share a meal featuring international flavors from a variety of local vendors. For event info, contact [email protected] or call 414-286-5900. To learn more about the ERC visit: milwaukee.gov/erc Reasonable accommodations will be provided upon request.
