Artist Amy Bryan leads an art workshop inspired by Kerry James Marshall's paintings of Black life. Participants create original artwork depicting everyday Black experiences without prior art experience. All ages are welcome to this public event.

Explore the work of Kerry James Marshall with artist and educator Amy Bryan. Art Workshop with artist Amy Bryan, inspired by the work of Kerry James Marshall Doors: 9:30AM Start: 10:00AM Kerry James Marshall's paintings center Black life, history, beauty, and visibility through rich color and carefully composed scenes. Participants will create an original artwork inspired by his approach to representing everyday Black experiences. This event is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. A suggested donation of $10 is welcomed, and no one will be turned away due to lack of funds. No prior art experience is necessary. All ages are welcome! Please bring a non-perishable food item for the church food pantry.
