drawing from her ongoing research 𝒎𝒊𝒅𝒅𝒍𝒆 𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅: (𝒊𝒎)𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒌𝒊𝒕𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒏, 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐣𝐚 𝐠𝐮 brings a meal for everyone to the table in this lecture performance. thinking together about food rules and taboos across different religions, cultures, times, and communities, participants explore how people have defined what can be eaten and what cannot. 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐣𝐚 weaves her research with shared personal stories, serving dishes prepared with ingredients and methods to navigate these diverse dietary boundaries. each course is served in custom ceramic vessels sculpted by the artist that resemble human body parts and organs, carefully paired with specific foods. the goal is to create ”food that anyone can eat“—but is food for everyone truly possible? come to the table, eat together, and join the conversation to explore what remains, what disappears, and what kind of 𝒎𝒊𝒅𝒅𝒍𝒆 𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅 emerges when different people share a meal. this program is supported by arts council korea.
