This exhibition is a visceral celebration of power, transformation, and untamed spirit, inspired by the rare and volatile Year of the Fire Horse. Across cultures, the Fire Horse symbolizes intensity, independence, and a force that refuses containment. At the same time, this exhibition is a juxtaposition to the intensity. Most of these drawings and paintings show the horse in a calm or controllable state. Some also show the interaction between horses and humans, which shows that humans have relied on and achieved a lot from their use of horses. Horses equate to productivity, which can be an untamed spirit in many ways. " Galliope" shows a horse bursting into motion. Here, Hollye Daidson, the artist explores the idea of momentum—both physical and emotional—channeling the restless energy associated with the Fire Horse year. The exhibition invites reflection on the duality of the horse—its capacity to both relax and charge. This is not merely an homage to a zodiac year; it is an exploration of what it means to be like a horse!
