The climate finance ecosystem has demonstrated that community-scale infrastructure investments work. The next challenge is scaling them. Despite strong demand, institutional investors still struggle to deploy capital efficiently into distributed clean energy and community infrastructure because the market lacks standardized structures, consistent data, and investable pathways. As the capital landscape shifts, this is a pivotal moment to build the market infrastructure needed to mobilize private investment at scale. Co-hosted by Banyan Infrastructure, Invest in Our Future, Milken Institute, RMI, and CGC, this curated event will bring together senior leaders from across the capital stack to discuss practical strategies for connecting institutional capital with community infrastructure investment opportunities. Meet our Speakers: Angela Adduci Angela Adduci leads climate policy and clean energy workstreams within BMO’s Climate Institute, helping the bank understand and respond to the evolving energy landscape. Before joining BMO, she led renewables and climate policy efforts for government clients at Aon and began her career in infrastructure risk analysis at Argonne National Laboratory. Angela holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and completed her undergraduate education at the University of Notre Dame. Chris Creed Chris Creed is Managing Partner and Co-Head of Credit and Capital Solutions, with more than two decades of experience in investment management, public-private partnerships, and financing for high-impact energy and infrastructure projects. Most recently, he served as Chief Investment Officer of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Loan Programs Office, which held more than $300 billion in lending authority. Earlier, he spent over 20 years at Goldman Sachs, overseeing more than $75 billion in credit assets. Chris holds an Sc.B. in Applied Mathematics–Economics from Brown University. Matthew Sweeny Matthew Sweeny is a Managing Director in Private Credit at Macquarie Asset Management, where he focuses on the origination, structuring, and execution of investments across energy, transport, waste management, and digital infrastructure. Since joining Macquarie in 2009, he has also held roles in the firm’s Risk Management Group in Sydney, Houston, and London. Prior to Macquarie, Matthew worked in M&A advisory at Credit Suisse in Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honors and a Bachelor of Finance from Bond University. Genevieve Rose Sherman Genevieve Rose Sherman is Co-founder and CEO of Concrete Transition Capital, a platform focused on decarbonizing the global concrete and cement industry through catalytic and commercial capital. Previously, she led sustainability, impact reporting, and C-PACE policy expansion at Nuveen Green Capital, after designing and implementing Connecticut’s C-PACE program at the Connecticut Green Bank. She holds a Master of City Planning and Certificate in Environmental Policy from MIT, as well as a B.A. in Urban Studies from Columbia University.
