Full description from organizer

This training will be in a hybrid format. This is part 1 of 2 DEC trainings. ***Each participant should be registered using their own name and contact information. To ensure fairness and accurate attendance records, registrations are limited to one seat per person. We kindly ask that attendees not register multiple individuals under the same name or attempt to reserve seats for others. If you are registering on behalf of others (for example, as an administrative assistant or coordinator), please complete a separate registration for each individual using that person’s name and contact information. If you are unsure whether someone has already been registered, please contact Madison Wingate at [email protected] before submitting another registration. Be sure to select the correct type of ticket, as this training is hybrid. We have both in-person and virtual tickets. _________________________________________________________________________________________ This training will help participants understand who drug-endangered children are, along with the risks and long-term impacts associated with parental and caregiver substance misuse and drug activity. Trainers will discuss the importance of, and opportunities for, early identification and intervention, and the need for multidisciplinary collaborative efforts to identify and help these children. Trainers will provide examples that all disciplines can relate to, along with activities to assist in understanding this challenging topic. Trainers will help attendees understand that they have opportunities to change the trajectories of the lives of drug-endangered children and break multigenerational cycles. Learning Objectives • Understand the risks and long-term impacts associated with parental and caregiver substance misuse and drug activity. • Understand the many opportunities (often missed) to identify drug-endangered children and the benefits of early intervention. • Learn what multidisciplinary collaborative efforts look like and how they incorporate the unique and often limited resources within a community, applying them in a manner that provides better care for drug-endangered children. Length: 90 minutes
