Think Like A Funder - Write Like A Winner

Learn how funders assess applications. Build a strategic bid using the 5 Ps framework. Purpose, Problem, Promise, Proof and Partnership Think Like A Funder - Write Like A Winner Most funding applications don't fail because the project isn't good enough, they fail because the application doesn't show a funder what they actually need to see. This half-day workshop is built around one simple idea, before you write a word, you need to understand how a funder reads. You'll learn: • How funders actually assess applications - what they're scanning for, and the mistakes that quietly lose points even in strong projects • The 5 Ps framework - Purpose, Problem, Promise, Proof, Partnership, a practical structure for thinking through your project before you start writing • How to plan your budget so it holds up under scrutiny, and avoid the common mistakes that make funders question an application's credibility • The difference between activities and outcomes - and why funders care about outcomes first Throughout the day, you'll work directly on your own charity or project, not a hypothetical example; using guided worksheets, and leave with a completed one-page skeleton of your own funding application, ready to build on. Light buffet and refreshments included. Places are limited to keep the session small and genuinely hands-on, so early booking is worthwhile if you'd like to come along. Early bird ticket prices available.
