The constant awareness of what might need attention next. And somewhere along the way, the body learns to brace. Unclench is an intimate Kava communion ceremony created for the people who carry a lot and rarely give themselves permission to put any of it down. Not because you stopped caring. Not because your responsibilities disappeared. But because perhaps everything that matters to you does not need to live clenched inside your body every moment of the day. What the evening feels like This is a warm, grounded experience centered around Kava communion, gentle embodied awareness, rest, reflection, and human connection. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is forced. You will be invited to notice where effort has become automatic and explore what it feels like to soften without abandoning the things and people you love. There will be space for inward reflection, comfortable quiet, and connection that does not require you to fix anyone or be fixed yourself. At the heart of the evening is one question: What happens when I stop holding everything so tightly? Sometimes the answer begins in the mind. Sometimes the body answers first. Held with respect Kava holds deep cultural importance within Pacific communities, with traditions that vary across islands and peoples. Our gathering at Lightwork Lounge is a contemporary ceremony. We approach Kava with respect for those histories without claiming to reproduce a traditional Pacific ceremony or lineage that is not ours. Participation with Kava is also your choice. A plant-free option can be provided so that you can remain part of the ceremony without consuming the plant. There is no prize for having the strongest experience. Your body gets a vote. Always.
