Old Saw with The Starlight Hexing Family and Haven's Den

Old Saw, the enigmatic, revolving-door New England Americana collective headed by Henry Birdsey, makes their SPACE debut. Old Saw formed in 2021 as a recording project that evolved into a collective of revolving members from various corners of the northeastern United States. They make music with organs, fiddles, tape loops, pedal steel, hurdy-gurdy, banjo, harmonicas, and bells. The band began playing live in 2026 after releasing four LPs via Lobby Art Editions and Worried Songs. Their latest album, The Wringing Cloth, was released as a double LP in 2025. “Old Saw still dedicate most of their energy to the margins, creating something deeply evocative while leaving it to the listener’s imagination to define what it’s evocative of… Opener ‘Song For Paloma’ is shimmering and beautiful, while ‘Ribbons Of Marble’ is almost crushing in its rich sadness.” – The Quietus “the kind of artfully-poised, lovingly performed instrumental Americana that often seems to exist outside of any prevailing scene and within the shared understandings of its own close-knit circle… beautifully crafted, with genuine heart and skill. Adam Wiltzie, Pan-American and late period Earth fans seeking something a little more Appalachian would do well to check in here” – World of Echo “Old Saw continues to refine its slow moving, spacious language, where fragments of folk instrumentation stretch outward into something both intimate and vast.” – Strand Magazine “breathtaking, a gorgeously arranged and performed set of haunting ballads that pair drone with Appalachian folk instruments and a sense of post-rock-like cinematic wonder.” – Treble Zine __ A special set by The Starlight Hexing Family, singing the songs of Lillian Hexing + Sanguinaria Hexing. An international family of shapeshifting witches centered in New England. A curse upon all those who enclose the common lands. Fiadh Productions + Stoned to Death.
