Community Cuddles Authentic connection. Clear boundaries. The freedom to say yes — and no. Community Cuddles is a three-hour, guided, consent-centered workshop for authentic human connection. Through experiential activities, we practice noticing and communicating our boundaries, making and receiving requests, giving voice to an authentic yes or no, changing our minds, and listening to ourselves and others with greater clarity. The workshop culminates in optional community cuddling, giving participants an opportunity to put these practices into action in a supportive community environment. Singles, couples, and friends are welcome You do not need to come with a partner, and you do not need to be single. Everyone participates as an individual, with their own boundaries, choices, yeses, and nos. Couples are welcome to participate with others or exclusively with one another. We encourage couples to talk together beforehand about what feels comfortable while remembering that either person is always free to change their mind during the gathering. Everything is optional There is never an obligation to touch or be touched. You may participate fully, observe an activity, decline an invitation, change your mind, take a break, or simply spend some time with yourself. Community Cuddles also includes a Solitude Zone — a designated no-touch, no-invitations-to-touch space where you can rest, observe, or remain part of the gathering without being approached for physical connection. You never have to cuddle to belong. This is not a dating or hook-up event Community Cuddles is centered around platonic, nonsexual connection. The purpose of the gathering is not to find a romantic or sexual partner, but to explore consent, communication, boundaries, emotional awareness, relational presence, and the possibilities of safe, respectful human connection. What we’ll explore During our time together, we’ll practice giving and receiving clear yes and no, making specific requests, noticing what happens when someone tells us no, changing our minds, honoring boundaries, and discovering what kinds of connection feel authentic to us. We’ll move gradually toward optional community cuddling, where asking, listening, choosing, and respecting one another’s boundaries become part of the experience itself. You may cuddle with one person, several people, only the person you came with — or no one at all. Your facilitator Community Cuddles is facilitated by Rob Patton, MDiv, founder of Heart Man Healing Arts. Rob’s background includes contemplative chaplaincy, clinical and hospice spiritual care, mediation, ritual facilitation, Reiki, professional cuddle training, and mentorship. His approach centers compassion, autonomy, dignity, and creating space for people to listen to their own inner wisdom. Come as you are No previous experience with cuddle gatherings, consent workshops, or relational practices is necessary. You are welcome to participate at the level that feels right for you.
