This workshop will include instruction on the symbolism and energy of the day, along with guided breathwork, meditation, journaling, and facilitated conversation. There will be opportunities for introspection and connection with others. The flow of the evening will be gentle and grounding with the goal of leaving feeling balanced and excited about the final few months of the year. This experience beckons anyone looking to quiet down the outside world and connect deeply with their inner most self. This is an opportunity for those looking for a way to feel empowered and re-energized about their life. ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Jane Messersmith began her mindfulness journey in 2020 during a year of poor health that ultimately ended in surgery to help fix an autoimmune diagnosis of achalasia: dying nerves in her esophagus. This was a pivotal moment in her life where I had to dig really deep to find and recognize the goodness all around her despite the hardship. While on her journey, she found breathwork and meditation. These modalities helped her heal and brought her back home to my body. She was able to reflect more deeply on her life as time went on and as her personal mindfulness practice grew, she decided to begin teaching others. Jane now teaches breathwork and meditation in-person and virtually in many settings like corporate wellness days, to athletes in gyms, women’s circles, anyone who has the smallest inkling of wanting to learn. It is important to Jane to teach others what she learned over six years ago: that we have the power to change, find the light in our lives, and to find ease where it previously didn’t seem possible.
