Baby & Me Gentle Yoga Series

Drop in for gentle Baby & Me Yoga! Move, bond & connect through mindful movement, songs & play. $30/class • First come, first serve. Gentle yoga for infants & caregivers featuring movement, songs, sensory play, bonding, mindfulness & connection. Slow down, connect, and move together. Join us for a nurturing 4-week yoga series created for infants and their caregivers. Each class offers a gentle blend of restorative movement for the caregiver, baby-friendly movement and stretching, breathwork, songs, sensory exploration, and intentional moments of connection. This is not about getting through a traditional yoga class with your baby beside you. Instead, the practice is designed around the two of you—creating space to support your own body while engaging, soothing, and bonding with your baby through movement, touch, sound, and presence. Classes will have a relaxed, baby-led atmosphere. Feeding, diaper changes, crying, cuddling, nursing, bottles, and breaks are all welcome. There is no expectation for babies—or caregivers—to behave a certain way. Come exactly as you are. This series may support: • Gentle movement and stretching for the caregiver • Infant body awareness, movement, and sensory development • Caregiver-baby bonding and connection • Relaxation and nervous-system regulation • Simple movements, songs, and practices you can continue at home • Connection with other caregivers in a supportive environment Who: Caregivers with babies who are not yet walking, approximately 6 weeks–12 months old.When: September 14, September 21, September 28 & October 5 Where: The Sensory Play Place1395 Atwood Ave., Unit 109, Johnston, RI 02919 What to bring: A yoga mat or comfortable blanket for you and baby. A Boppy or supportive infant pillow can also be helpful for younger babies. Feel free to bring anything else you or your baby need to feel comfortable. No previous yoga experience is necessary.
