Pasta making class at Waredaca Brewing Company!

Join Chef Laurie from Pasta Made Simple in learning how to make southern hand formed pasta in this creative, hands-on pasta class! Hands-On Pasta Making — No Experience Necessary! Join Chef Laurie Boucher (@baltimorehomecook), former pasta chef at Cafe Campli and owner of Pasta Made Simple, as she returns to Waredaca for a hands-on journey into the art of Southern Italian pasta. After a professional dough-making demonstration, you’ll work with chef-prepared dough to create a variety of unique regional shapes. Using minimal equipment, you’ll practice alongside the chef to build confidence and refine your technique. At the end of class, your fresh, uncooked pasta (8 ounces / two servings) will be packaged to take home, along with cooking and storage instructions. Your ticket includes a complimentary beverage from Waredaca, additional beverages will be available for purchase throughout the event. Please note: This is a make-it-and-take-it style class; there will be no cooking or eating of the pasta during the session.Chef Laurie has been making and teaching the art of pasta making professionally since 2018. With pre-prepared pasta dough, you will learn how to create a number of interesting and unique regional pasta shapes by hand using common household tools as well as being introduced to more specialized pasta tools. Chef Laurie will demonstrate how to form a variety of southern hand formed shapes, and you will then transform your own dough into those beautiful pasta shapes. The pasta you make will create two portions of pasta (8oz) which will be packaged to go at the end of class. Cooking and storing instructions included for each participant.
