A lecture on nature journaling followed by a walk through nature. Learn about observational and art techniques. There are so many wonderful things out in nature, and many things one might not notice on first glance. Get to know them better through art! This workshop with start with a lecture on nature journaling; What is it, helpful materials, how to get started, and guided art exercises to start building your skills. Notebooks, a link to a digital version of the lecture, fossils and speciem to draw, and all sorts of fun art materials to try out will be provided (although bringing your own sketchbook and favorite drawing materials is highly suggested). After the lecture, we will walk to the near by trail to get out there and start drawing.
