Arabic Level 1 (Tue) Hybrid

7-week beginner Arabic course, Tue 8:00-9:30 PM. Arabic Level 1 is ideal for students with no prior Arabic experience or those seeking a comprehensive review of the fundamentals. This course offers an introduction to the Arabic language and the cultural background of its speakers. With a primary focus on developing basic communication skills, the class will be conducted primarily in Modern Standard Arabic. Students will acquire essential linguistic building blocks, empowering them to interact in everyday situations where Arabic is used. This curriculum will include: Mastering the Arabic Alphabet: Read and pronounce Arabic sounds, and write the letters with accuracy. Engaging in Basic Interactions: Exchange greetings, introduce themselves, and understand basic courtesies. Utilizing Numbers: Recognize and employ numbers for practical tasks. Describing Everyday Objects: Develop vocabulary to discuss their surroundings. Applying Grammatical Concepts: Demonstrate a foundational understanding of gender and number agreement. Constructing Simple Sentences: Formulate sentences using essential grammatical structures. Appreciating Arabic Culture: Gain insights into the core values and customs of Arabic societies.
