The Shape of ME

A calm, cozy in-person gathering where neighbors make shared-sheet, finger-painted figures that are entirely their own. The Shape of ME is an in-person art-making event for the local community. We’ll begin with a single shared sheet: paint, fingers, and no brushes. Make a mark, then let it go. Someone else may add to it, cover part of it, or take it somewhere you didn’t plan. From the shared sheet, you’ll piece together a figure that is yours while carrying what passed through other hands along the way. None of us became who we are by ourselves; neither will these figures. I’ll guide the making and the conversation that grows around it. No art experience is needed, and there’s no right way for your figure to turn out. You’ll leave with what emerged from two hours of play—led by curiosity, made from something shared, and yet entirely your own.
