Agriculture Education Center Project Community Meeting

This meeting will share information about the Agriculture Education Center Project and get feedback on initial design ideas. Sarasota County is working on a possible future project to develop an Agriculture Education Center that would serve Beginning Farmers/ Ranchers and 4-H Youth . It would provide training for aspiring farmers/ ranchers, as well as an incubator for hands-on learning and early business development training. It would also provide space for 4-H Youth to house their projects and for 4-H Clubs to meet. Community education on agriculture and local food systems would also be provided on site. This meeting is to introduce the idea for the project and get community feedback on priorities and initial design ideas. All are welcome, but members of the local agriculture industry and 4-H families and volunteers are specifically encouraged to attend to ensure their voices are heard and that the project will meet their needs.
