Somatic Dance Release

Dance and move through the full range of human emotions, releasing what’s held in your body to a playlist-led journey. Somatic Dance Release is an in-person women's event for the local community hosted by Lila Movement. What to expect In a casual, fun setting, you’ll be introduced to using dance and movement to release stored emotions and express what’s held in the body. Move through the full range of human emotions as you vibe to a curated playlist that takes you on a journey. Guiding you to let go, play, move, feel, express, laugh, cry, and release. While there will be portions of the class you will be invited to free dance and lose yourself in the rhythm, this is not an ecstatic dance event. You will be guided through what I call "playlist-led arcs", moving from stillness into shaking (preparing the body for movement). I will then lead you through breath to movement somatic body keys, free flow dance and high energy organic movement, and back into stillness. This sequence will be repeated a few times throughout the class and creates a beautiful opportunity for the release of stored emotional residue. Lila Movement is about letting yourself experience a new level of freedom in your body through movement, music, feeling deeply and having fun!
