We're back at Pioneer Square Labs, timed to the Art Walk right after. Three short talks, a panel, and drinks on us. Ana Marini is an education-focused product designer who's been building Lumi, a personal language-learning project, with AI as a design partner. She'll walk through the messy middle of that: what actually happens to your thinking, your judgment, and your creative process when AI becomes part of how you learn and make. Kaelig Deloumeau-Prigent is a design engineering leader who has spent fifteen years building design systems at Shopify, Salesforce, Intuit, and the Financial Times, and co-chairs the W3C Design Tokens Community Group. He'll show how Claude Design, Claude Code, Storybook, and Playwright combine into one agentic workflow that revamps a product's UI from head to toe, design system included, walking through the OpenID Foundation's Conformance Test Suite redesign from user research to the shipped UI. Shuyuan (Sylvia) Ding is a product designer at PenChecks Trust who spent this year going from designer to design engineer, owning both the design and the implementation. She's built a component end to end the way that job works now; AI, engineering collaboration, and QA feedback all in the loop, set against the old model of a detailed handoff and stepping away.
