Beginner Cake Decorating Foundations with Extreme Piping & Fondant Bow!

Learn cake-decorating basics with Chef Dawn as you create a beautiful winter-themed cake. Whether you’re decorating your very first cake, refreshing your skills, preparing for a bakery or cake-decorating job, or simply looking for a fun and creative day out, this hands-on class is designed to help you build confidence and strengthen your cake-decorating foundation. Under the guidance of Celebrity Pastry Chef Dawn of Ravy Cakes, LLC, competitor of Food Network's Wedding Cake Championship, students will work step-by-step to create a beautiful winter-inspired cake featuring smooth buttercream, decorative piping, fondant snowflakes, and a stunning statement bow. During this class, you’ll learn how to properly level and prepare your cake, apply a crumb coat, and achieve a smooth final buttercream finish with clean, sharp edges. You’ll also practice various buttercream piping techniques to add texture and dimension to your design. Then we’ll add the winter magic! You’ll learn how to create fondant snowflakes and a beautiful, show-stopping fondant bow to complete your cake. This class is perfect for beginners, decorators who need a refresher, individuals seeking hands-on training for employment in a bakery, or anyone who simply wants to enjoy a fun day of cake decorating. All supplies and decorating tools needed during class are provided for use. Each student will also receive a cake box to safely take their finished creation home. Although this is a group class, Chef Dawn provides individualized attention and guidance to each student, allowing you to ask questions, receive hands-on assistance, and work on the techniques where you need the most support.
