Full description from organizerShow less
Come learn about loofah, how it grows in our region and how to process the fruits to make all natural bath products. Loofah is one of our favorite plants to grow on the farm. We grow it in high tunnels and process it as a bath product. They are magnificent plants. Join us on the farm for some fall loofah processing. Learn about a variety of methods and try your hand at cleaning a loofah. Then take a finished loofah piece home with you for your own bath or a great gift! Travel stipends of $50 are available to attendees. Snacks provided. IMPORTANT NOTE: Farm workshops are canceled in cases of extreme weather (i.e. thunderstorms, tornados, hurricanes). We're always watching the weather and will keep everyone updated as to cancellations due to weather.
