NJ Women's Chorus proudly presents Life Journey Songs, a unique multicultural concert celebrating the beauty of life, love, and the remarkable role of women in preserving musical traditions across generations. Women bring life into the world, nurture it with lullabies, celebrate love and marriage, and carry the melodies of remembrance and farewell. Through music, they connect generations, cultures, and communities. This special concert brings together traditional songs in Turkish, Persian, Armenian, Greek, Albanian, Macedonian, and Arabic, exploring the musical traditions that accompany life's most meaningful moments—from lullabies and traditional henna ceremonies to weddings and funeral farewells. Love songs will be at the heart of the evening, celebrating the many emotions of love, from longing and devotion to joy and heartbreak. Accompanied by a live orchestra, the chorus will blend the beautiful sounds of traditional instruments—including oud, qanun, clarinet, percussion, lyra, and saz—with contemporary instruments such as keyboard and guitar.
