Take a Hike by Welda Club

We’re trading the city for the trails and heading to Bear Mountain for a morning of fresh air, fall colors, movement and good company. We’ll all meet at Grand Central by the clock in the middle, ready for the 7:57am train to Peekskill, around an hour out of the city. Once we arrive, the trip across to Bear Mountain takes approximately 10-15 minutes. We’ll make our own way by taxis across separately before meeting up again and beginning the hike together. Classic Loop Length: About 3.8 to 4.2 miles total. Time to Complete: 2 to 3 hours for the standard Bear Mountain Loop Trail. Everyone joining us will receive a pair of the newly released Vivobarefoot Tracker Tova, worth $260. Your pair will be available to collect ahead of the hike so you can try them on, make sure the sizing feels right and, if all is good, wear them out on the trail with us. We’ll provide snacks and coffee for the hike, but recommend bringing plenty of water and your usual hiking essentials. You will each get an additional gift on arrival. Afterwards, we’ll see where the day takes us. If there’s any energy left, we may stick around for a well-earned lunch in the cute town of Peekskill before catching the train back to the city. Come for the hike, leave with new shoes, new connections and slightly tired legs. Train tickets not included in ticket price.
