Nature Journaling: Capturing Autumn

Connect with nature through our guided journaling workshop, set along the beautiful Maumee River. Connect with Autumn's natural beauty through observation, creativity, and curiosity during this guided Nature Journaling workshop. Set against the backdrop of the Maumee River, you'll learn simple techniques for capturing the vibrant colors of fall, the changing light, and the distinctive trees found along the shoreline. And the best part, your journal and paint supplies are all included! Nature journaling combines words, sketches, and observations to help you slow down, notice the world around you, and deepen your connection to nature. Using guided prompts, participants will record questions, discoveries, and reflections in a provided journal. No artistic experience or drawing ability is required—this workshop is designed especially for beginners. "We have the class in our Great Lakes Community Education Center. It has a full glass wall and we can focus on the river. We get a lot of birds. And there’s that mud, the logs, trees, shore birds, raptors, turtles, fish.
