Spend some time making a difference and earn service hours at Ottawa NWR! Spend some time making a difference and earn service hours at Ottawa NWR! For this volunteer event, we will be collecting and cleaning native seeds within walking distance of the Visitor Center. Please come ready to work outside: wear old clothes (layers are a good idea) and bring water bottles (access to water is always available) and sunscreen/bug spray. Gloves and needed tools will be provided. As a thank you, you will be able to take home some native wildflower seeds at the end of the workday! Open to all ages, but minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
