The program highlights prevention strategies and the importance of early identification through compassionate, nonjudgmental screening. Women experiencing gambling-related harm may also face co-occurring mental health concerns, substance use disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, or barriers to seeking help due to stigma and fear of judgment. Recognizing these factors can help professionals identify concerns earlier and connect individuals with appropriate support. The training also emphasizes evidence-based treatment approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, individualized treatment planning, and peer recovery support. A trauma-informed and person-centered approach can help reduce stigma, strengthen engagement in care, and support long-term recovery. Collaboration among behavioral health professionals, employee assistance providers, families, and community resources can further improve access to appropriate services.
