Join us and have fun at this special seasonal party to celebrate Ukrainian ancient traditions and culture Welcome back to Shadows of Not Forgotten Ancestors! For the second year, join us at Best of France Antiques, by Edmondo Crimi LLC, and Voloshky Dance Ensemble, our incredibly generous partners, for a unique, in-person, special seasonal event celebrating the rich history and traditions of Ukrainian ancestors and have fun in the Ukrainian folk style. Savor delicious food prepared by the Culinary Ambassador of Ukraine, Dmytro Martseniuk, featuring many traditional delicacies: gorge on roasted pig, banosh, and bograch cooked in a cauldron pot on an open fire! Drink a special potion of the night and make a wish for victory in Ukraine! The name for our party is chosen from the famous Ukrainian novel and movie, Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors. But for us they are not forgotten! Soooooo, guests are encouraged and asked to have costumes inspired by characters from Ukrainian folk tales. Our ancestors worshiped elements of nature, so be a lady of the forest or the lake, a god of wind or thunderstorm, transform into a witch from Konotop (google it, it’s fun!). No zombies, mummies or bloody nurses, please! Otherwise, you will be punished with a double portion of traditional Ukrainian sweets, like apple strudel and honey cake! We will have fun at the CASH bar with hot mulled wine, dancing and a special party game. Last year we had racing on Lavrov horses and witch brooms, and made putin crawl on the red carpet all the way to the Haugue. This year, our inspirational mascot is a Motanka-Doll. We promise you - it will be fun, rain or shine! To conclude the evening on a spooky note, your ticket includes a special visit to the Vampa Museum next door, a value of $20.
