Stars with a Heart

Grammy Award winners, Broadway veterans, Tony Award nominees and multiple award-winning Cabaret artists come together for a night of music! The Center at West Park is thrilled to welcome Mary Porter’s STARS WITH A HEART benefit show on November 15th at 6 PM in the Sanctuary at St. Paul & St Andrew United Methodist Church. This show will feature several Grammy Award winners, Broadway veterans, Tony Award nominees and multiple award-winning Cabaret artists. It will also feature BALLET & BEYOND NYC, a group of young dancers in New York for a special performance. Mary Porter created STARS WITH A HEART in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico in 2023. She lived in that community before the pandemic and became aware of the many outstanding entertainers there and the many charities that needed help. This show has grown from that initial event in 2023 to a series of successful fundraising events. Since 2023, more than $250,000 has been raised for local charities in Puerto Vallarta. The 2027 show in Mexico (the Fifth Anniversary show) is a benefit for the local “RISE” orphanage. Mary Porter is a philanthropist, visionary and an entertainer. She has produced other benefit shows including several in her native state of North Carolina for local food banks, homeless shelters and the Alzheimer’s Association. Proceeds from her NYC debut at 54 Below in 2025 as well as proceeds from her recorded music and performances benefit The Alzheimer’s Association, in memory of her mother. The November 15th show The Center at West Park is the first STARS WITH A HEART show New York. With this show’s proven success and outstanding reviews, it is certain to be great.
