Event Objective and Educational Goals The Center for Advanced Breast Reconstruction's annual Pinked-Out event is designed to educate patients, healthcare professionals, and trainees about the full spectrum of modern breast cancer reconstruction. The program brings together breast cancer survivors, referring physicians, medical students, residents, and industry partners to promote evidence-based discussions on reconstructive options, innovations in surgical techniques, and multidisciplinary breast cancer care. Educational exhibits and presentations from participating vendors will highlight the technologies, devices, and surgical materials used in contemporary breast reconstruction, allowing attendees to better understand their role in improving patient outcomes. The event also provides an opportunity for patients to learn about available reconstructive options, for referring providers to better understand appropriate referral pathways and evolving reconstructive techniques, and for medical students and residents to gain exposure to advances in microsurgical breast reconstruction through interaction with experienced surgeons and industry experts. The overall goal is to improve knowledge, encourage informed decision-making, strengthen collaboration among providers, and enhance access to high-quality breast reconstruction for patients throughout the Hampton Roads community.
